2012 International Quilt Festival/Cincinnati 2012

The Cincinnati Landmarks Quilt

featured at the International Quilt Festival/Cincinnati 2012,

was created by the Contemporary Quilt and Fiber Artists.

The project took well over a year and combined the creative efforts of 43 members of the guild.

The overall design concept of the quilt was created

by Cris and Robbie,

pictured here in Cincinnati at the Festival

with the Cincinnati Landmarks Quilt.

At the Festival I took a wonderful workshop

taught by Heather Thomas.

We explored Shiva Paintstiks thru a variety of techniques.

Pictured here is a stencil technique with blended colors.

I'm so motivated by all that I leanered

and ready to explore Shiva Stiks in a larger quilt.

New Studio Cat

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
and greeting from Beadworks Studio.
I would like to introduce you to my new studio cat Sterling. (and that is a yawn in the photo not a scream) Sterling is my second rescue cat and I'm sure he is going to love being a "Studio Cat"

When studio Cat #1 (outside the flower pot) first met studio cat #2 (inside the flower pot)

What a playful kitty he is.

The Original and first studio cat, Daisy May,

has accepted Sterling
and even shares HER sleeping space with HIM.
More photos of their adventures in a beader's studio to follow
- this could be very exciting.
